Microsoft offers voluntary exit to ~60,000 staff ahead of possible layoffs

Microsoft announced a voluntary exit offer covering roughly 60,000 employees, about 25% of its workforce. The memo, signed by Chief People Officer Amy Coleman, is the company’s second buyout program this year. The VEO allows staff to leave voluntarily before any further layoffs are enacted.

Nvidia invests $14M in Simplismart to improve AI model efficiency

Nvidia has provided a $14 million investment to Simplismart to help the startup make AI models run more efficiently. Simplismart reports its annualized revenue run rate increased fourteenfold over six months, with the United States contributing over half of its revenue.
