Supreme Court rejects Mahua Moitra's plea for public disclosure of AIF and

The Supreme Court declined to issue a direction to SEBI requiring public disclosure of ultimate beneficial owners of alternative investment funds and foreign portfolio investors. The petition was filed by TMC MP Mahua Moitra. The court observed that current regulations do not mandate such disclosure.
